6. Returns, Refunds & Consumer Rights

Coral Bay Furnishings complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, including for custom-made or made-to-order products.

If your item is faulty, damaged, or does not meet acceptable quality standards, we will meet our legal obligations to provide a suitable remedy, which may include repair, replacement, or refund depending on the circumstances.

Custom-made items cannot be returned unless they are faulty.

7. Natural Timber Variations

All Coral Bay Furnishings products are handcrafted from natural timber. Because timber is a natural material, each piece will display unique and inherent variations.

These may include:

  • grain and texture differences

  • natural knots or pattern variations

  • colour and tone variation

  • slight movement in the wood over time (expansion, contraction, hairline cracks)

These variations are not considered faults. They are natural characteristics of real wood and contribute to the uniqueness of each handcrafted product.

By purchasing from us, you acknowledge that:

  • No two pieces will be identical.

  • Product images are indicative only.

  • Natural changes in timber over time are expected and do not qualify as defects unless they affect structural integrity.

8. Liability Limitation

Where goods are purchased for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • All warranties, conditions, and guarantees (other than those required by law) are excluded.

  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or financial losses.

  • Our total liability is limited to the value of the goods or services supplied.

This limitation applies to Coral Bay Furnishings and its employees, contractors, and agents.

Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights under consumer law.

If any clause is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

Notices may be sent to the email address provided at checkout.
